Job description

• Capable of treating children, adolescents, and adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities.
• M-F
• Minimum 3-month contract
• 8-5 8 hours with an hour lunch no exceptions
• 40hrs/week
• No weekends, no holidays
• No Call
• 1:44 min from Austin
• 1:30 min from Houston
• Provide medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities served.
• May be asked to work a different shift and or overtime but not likely
• Provide Acute care to patients, daily assessments of health problems or injury
• Provide chronic care to individuals
• Each contractor will be on call every 5th or 6th weekend and during the week every 5th or 6th day. 100% of the on call duties are managed via phone. No return visits to campus are required when on call. However, you will be required to address post Emergency Room visits and post hospital discharges via telehealth on weekend.
• Must be proficient in computers/Electronic health records
• Provide comprehensive medical care which includes but does not limit too. conducting rounds review of the infirmary and hospitalized patients
• General knowledge of medicine including laws and ordinances
• Ability to examine and diagnose, treat physical and mental disabilities
• Ability to supervise the work of others who provide medical care to patients
• Ability to work productively
• Ability to work professionally
