Exciting Family Medicine Physician Locum Opportunity – Outpatient Clinic in SoCal!

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to cover an outpatient primary care clinic in California for a 3+ month locum tenens contract starting mid-May 2025.

Position Details:
Start Date: May 12, 2025 (flexible)
Contract Length: 3+ months
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible to 4 days/week)
Patient Contact: 7 hours per day + 1-hour admin time
Patient Load: 18-20 patients per day
Patient Population: All ages (pediatrics to geriatrics)
Setting: Outpatient Primary Care Clinic
Coverage Type: Scheduled shifts, no call
EMR: EPIC (highly preferred)

Scope of Practice & Procedures:
*Comprehensive primary care for all ages
*Minor in-office procedures, including:
*Cyst removal
*Laceration repair
*Skin biopsies
*Pap smears
*Incision & drainage
*Preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment

Requirements:
*Licensure: Must have a current, unrestricted California Medical License (no disciplinary actions)
*Life support: BLS, ACLS (required)
*DEA License: Required
*Experience: 1-4 years of recent outpatient FM PCP experience (IM or hospitalist experience not applicable)
*EMR Proficiency: EPIC experience highly preferred
*Vaccines: Optional, not mandatory
