Job description

Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant needed for full-time coverage with FCI in Waseca, MN
• Facility located in Waseca, MN
• Monday – Friday 7:30a – 4:00p (40 hours)
• 6-month initial commitment, with option to extend another 6-months
• Must be ANCC or AANP/ NCCPA certified
• BLS and at least one year of corrections experience preferred
• ANY State license
• Provide female health care services to include breast exams, pelvic exams, and pap smears
• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services for the inmate
• Make a diagnosis, provide treatment plans and prescribe medications from facility formulary
• Emergency consultation to be performed by the contractor in instances where deemed necessary and performing minor surgery utilizing local anesthesia during consultation visits if necessary
• Clinically manage injuries by suturing, splinting, and immobilizing
• Provider must use facility EMR, training will be provided
• Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious
