Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Opportunity in WA

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. The ideal candidate will be available for a minimum of 10 shifts per month (1-2 weeks) and capable of providing consistent, long-term coverage. The facility aims to fill 40 shifts per month, with the current need far exceeding their supply from existing providers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients
• Work alongside 1-2 other physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), particularly during peak times
• Handle varying patient volumes depending on location, ranging from 1.5 to 3 patients per hour
• Flexibly rotate between up to three locations, or focus on one as preferred
• Cover both day and night shifts, with afternoon and early evening being the busiest

Support & Resources:
• Support staff includes APPs with 3 shifts per day and a 4th shift being added soon
• Low admission rates and manageable patient acuity
• Hospital bed size: 388
• Full spectrum of inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and emergency services
• Level III Trauma Center, certified chest pain and stroke centers, joint restoration center, and level III Neonatal ICU
