Emergency Medicine Locum Opportunity – Hampton, VA

Job description

Position Highlights:

Schedule: Flexible, 3-4 shifts/month (12-hour shifts).
Shift options: 6a-3:30p, 11a-8:30p, 3:30p-1a, 8:30p-6a, 7a-7p, or 7p-7a.
Patient Volume: 1.5-2 patients per hour, with annual ED volumes ranging from 31k-63k across two facilities.
Coverage Model: Single MD coverage with APP support.
Special Services:
- Certified Stroke Center and Free Standing ED.
- Backup specialties include neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, GI, and more.
- STEMI cases transferred to nearby facilities.
EMR: Epic.

Requirements:

ABEM or AOBEM Board Certification.
Active medical license (state licensure required to proceed).
ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
Minimum of 24 months of CME.
