This regional hospital is part of a well-established healthcare network serving the central Texas community. The facility operates a 7-bed emergency department with laboratory and radiology services available 24 hours a day, providing essential care to the surrounding region.

Physician - Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Provide locum tenens coverage on an ongoing basis starting ASAP
• Handle 28-32 patient encounters per shift in a 7-bed emergency department
• Must hold an active Texas medical license - no IMLC accepted
• Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
• Required certifications include ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
• Facility is a Level 4 trauma center with 24-hour laboratory and radiology support
• No L&D department on site and no newborn deliveries received in the ED
• Gynecology skills required include well woman care and D&C procedures
• Obstetrics skills required include prenatal care
• Must be competent in managing pediatric patients across all age ranges from newborns (birth-30 days) through adolescents (13-18 years)
• Required pediatric skills include newborn care, newborn resuscitation, and general outpatient pediatric care
• Nearest airport is Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW)
