Start Month: As soon as credentialed
Estimated Length of Assignment: 6-12 months or longer

MD/DO: 3 physician shifts
NP/PA: 2 APP shifts

Physician Shift Times: 6a-4p, 12p-10p, 8p-6a

NP/PA Shift Times: 9a-7p, 3p-1a

Facility Details:

Annual Volume: 31,000
Patients per Day: 85
% EMS: 13%
% Admitted Patients: 25%
Trauma Level Designation: Level IV
ED Beds: 20 (0 fast track, 4 hallway beds when needed)
ICU Beds: 12
EMR System: Meditech Expanse

Hospital-required orientation including EMR training followed by a shadow shift in the ED

Vaccination Requirements:

Annual flu vaccination
TB test (within 6 months of application)
MMR, Tdap, Varicella, HepB

Additional Information:

Full travel coverage provided
Backup specialties include cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, tele-neuro, and occasionally GI and ENT
STEMI patients are kept; stroke patients needing tPA or thrombectomy are shipped
Recent initiatives include thrombectomy for massive PE and pacemaker implantation for complete heart block
