Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Orange, TX.

Position Overview:

Specialty: Emergency Medicine
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6+ months
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts only (7a – 7p & 7p – 7a). Note: Cannot work 24-hour shifts.
Schedule: Days/Nights/Weekends
Work Details:

Support Staff: No NP/PA coverage at this time.
Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 20 shifts per month. Ideally, 10 shifts split among 2 MDs. Will consider part-time candidates but a minimum of 5 shifts/month required.
Annual Volume: 12,500 patients
Department Description: Emergency Department with 16 private rooms, including a Fast Track, acute exam, cardiac room, and decontamination shower room. The department handles admissions that are transferred out to other facilities.

Requirements:

Board Certification: Required in Emergency Medicine
State License Required: Relevant state license
DEA Required: Yes
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS (typically required)
Minimum Experience Required: Not specified but ideally should have relevant emergency medicine experience
