Job description

• 4-6 month assignment
• Can take 2 FT docs. About 20 shifts/month
• Must be willing to work minimum 5 shifts per month
• ABEM or AOBEM
• Must have completed EM residency
• ATLS, ACLS, PALS required (180 days grace period to comply)
• STAFFING MODEL MDDO - 60 hrs Monday & Tuesday & 48 hrs Wednesday - Sunday
• STAFFING MODEL NPPA - 46 hrs Monday – Wednesday, 40 hrs Thursday & Friday, & 30 hrs Saturday - Sunday
• PHYSICIAN SHIFT TIMES - 5a – 5p, 7a – 7p, 5p – 5a, 7p – 7a every day & a 12p – 12a shift on Mondays & Tuesdays too
• NPPA SHIFT TIMES - 8a – 6p, 10a – 8p, 1p – 11p, 5p – 3a Monday – Friday with a 1p – 7p shift included on Mondays – Wednesdays. Weekend coverage is 8a – 6p, 11a – 9p, and 3p – 1a
• ANNUAL VOLUME - About 55,000
• PATIENTS PER DAY - About 150/day
• % EMS - 21%
• % ADMITTED PATIENTS - 22%
• TRAUMA LEVEL DESIGNATION - III
• No Scribe coverage
• ED BEDS & FAST TRACK BEDS - 31 ED beds
• Robust backup specialties on site. Also a cardiac and chest pain accredited hospital.
• EMR is Meditech
• Must have active TX license
• Travel and lodging is available
