Facility in Harrisburg, PA seeking EM locums coverage Rates: $350/hr Opportunity Highlights Flexible Shifts: Work 13-hour shifts (6 AM - 7 PM or 6 PM - 7 AM), with a mix of days, nights, and weekends spread across our sites. Supportive Environment: Work in an emergency department with an annual volume of 29,000, supported by two APPs per shift. We are not a teaching hospital, so there are no responsibilities for residents or students. Epic EMR: Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system for efficient charting. Quick Privileging: Estimated 60 days for full privileges. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive emergency department coverage for a patient mix that is approximately 95% adult and 5% pediatric. Manage a variety of cases, including medical emergencies, basic general and orthopedic surgeries, STEMIs, and cardiac arrests. Perform procedures such as chest tubes, airway management, and I&Ds. Handle emergency department coverage with the ability to transfer higher-acuity patients as needed. Collaborate effectively with APPs and other healthcare professionals; you will not work solo. Requirements Education: MD or DO. Board Status: ABEM or AOBEM Board Certification is REQUIRED. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine. Licensure: Active Pennsylvania State License is required to apply. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS. DEA: Active DEA required. Start Date Estimated start date: October 1, 2025.
