Emergency Medicine Physician need in Everett, PA

Contract Length: Ongoing
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts
Schedule: Coverage needed for both Bedford and Altoona. Shifts are 12 hours, with flexibility required for any shift needed (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Occasional mid-level shift coverage may also be needed.
Work Details:

Support Staff: Work solo with APPs available to respond to codes and RRTs. Collaborate with an APP, and coordinate admissions through our Hospitalist and Specialties Groups.
Coverage Needed: 5 shifts per month
Patient Volume:
Annual Volume: ~19,000 patients
Average Daily Volume: ~51 patients
Patient Population/Age: All ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric care, with cases ranging from acute to emergent/trauma.
EMR: Cerner
Special Procedures: No procedures or vent management required. Procedures within the scope of an emergency medicine residency-trained physician include intubations, chest tubes, central lines, joint and fracture reductions, joint aspirations, laceration repair, I&D, etc.

Requirements:

Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Osteopathic Emergency Medicine
License Required: PA License
DEA: Required
CSR: Not required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (through AHA or Red Cross) are not required if board certification requirements are met. Stroke Certification required.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 2 years Emergency Medicine experience
