Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Altoona, PA.

Shift Details: Coverage needed for both Altoona and Bedford. Shifts at Altoona are 10 hours. Must be willing to work any of the following shifts based on need: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM, or 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
Work Details:

Support Staff: Working solo; APPs respond to codes and RRTs. You will work alongside other physicians and APPs and will sign off on APPs.
Coverage Needed: 5 shifts per month
Patient Population/Age: Pediatrics to adult/geriatric care, including acute, emergent, and trauma cases
Patients Per Day:
Altoona: Average 51,000 patients annually with 70 hours of physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily. Average daily volume is 137 patients.
EMR: Cerner
Special Procedures: Includes intubations, chest tubes, central lines, joint and fracture reductions, joint aspirations, laceration repair, I&D, and other procedures within the scope of an emergency medicine residency-trained physician.
Skills Required: Seeing patients in the ED; no vent management required

Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Osteopathic Emergency Medicine
License Required: PA License
DEA: Required
CSR: Not required
Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS are not required if board certification requirements are met. CPR and Stroke Certification are required.
Minimum Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years Emergency Medicine experience
