Shift Details: 6-7x 12 hour shifts per month
Schedule: 6 - 7 shifts per month through August 2025; shifts will most likely be 11p-11a but can vary as needed. Client can work around your schedule but prefer consistency each month.
Work Details:
• Support staff: RN as well as specialty backup; hospitalist, cardiology, neurology, general surgery, neuro, ENT, trauma surgery, peds, radiology, anesthesiology, etc.
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 6-7 shifts per month. Flexible Feb-Aug.
• Patients per day: 1 – 2 patients are seen in the double covered ED each hour with an annual volume of 30,000.

• Special procedures: EM physicians do not run codes outside the ER, and they will not admit patients or have other duties outside the ER, but they will write basic holding orders to allow for the patient to be moved to the floor, the admitting physician takes responsibility once the patient leaves the ER. Practice setting criteria/description: 1.7 to 2.0 patients are seen in the double covered ED each hour with an annual volume of 30,000+. Patients are brought in by ambulance to the Level II ED with acuity averaging 25% admission. Complex trauma, critical and unstable cases are diverted to by air and ambulance. Major sub-specialties on staff include hospitalists, cardiology, neurology, general surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT, Hand Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Psychiatry, Podiatry, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Radiology, Anesthesiology that, depending on schedules, are in-house or on-call and within 15 minutes of the hospital.

Requirements:
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years in Training) in American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
• State license required: No, IMLC or ND license preferred
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: No
• Certifications required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• Minimum experience required: 1 – 2 years’ preferred
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days if licensed; 90+ days if not
