Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Bismarck, ND.

Job description

Position Overview:

Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 3 months, with the possibility of ongoing extension
Shift Details: Flexible 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM shifts; all providers will work a mix of shifts unless a preference for nights is specified
Schedule: 12 shifts per month (12-hour block shifts)
Work Environment:

Patients Per Day: 1-2 patients per hour
Department Description: Provide comprehensive care for a variety of patients with acute concerns, ranging from mild to complex. The ED serves a diverse patient population, including cases from a nearby Indian reservation with high incidences of violence and substance abuse.
EMR: EPIC
Hospital Beds: 25-bed hospital with 4 open ICU beds
Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 19,000 patients
Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center
Support: Admin team and APPs on-site during peak hours
Practice Setting:

Facility Type: Hospital
Additional Details: As the first line of defense for the community, the EM physician must be fully capable of performing all necessary procedures to stabilize patients for transfer or admission. Limited sub-specialty support means candidates must be ready to handle all types of emergencies independently.

Requirements:

Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
License Required: Active ND license
DEA: Yes, without restrictions
Credentialing Timeframe: 30-45 days
