Emergency Medicine Physician needed in Devils Lake, ND.

Job description

Position Overview:
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 3 months, with the possibility of ongoing extension
Shift Details: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (flexible; a mix of shifts unless a preference for nights)
Schedule: 12 shifts per month (12-hour block shifts); specific shifts may vary based on needs
Work Environment:

Patients Per Day: 8-15 patients
Department Description: Handle a wide range of acute concerns from mild to complex. The EM Physician will be the first line of defense, providing comprehensive care with limited sub-specialty support. You'll need to perform all necessary procedures to stabilize patients for transfer or admission.
EMR: Meditech
Hospital Beds: 25-bed hospital with 4 open ICU beds
Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 14,000 patients
Support: Admin team and APPs available during peak hours

Additional Details: The emergency department serves a community including a nearby Indian reservation with a population of 7,000, where cases of violence and substance abuse are common. Candidates must be fully capable of managing all types of cases independently.

Certifications:
ACLS, PALS, BLS – ONLY from the American Heart Association
ATLS – ONLY from the American College of Surgeons
Board Certification: Must be Board Certified
License Required: Active ND license
