A health system is seeking an emergency medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.

Upstate New York is filled with beautiful sights to see like Niagara Falls, Watkins Glenn State Park, and National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum!

About the clinician's workday

The approximate number of shifts per month is 4 clinical, with the remainder being administrative. Coverage is needed on an ongoing basis until a full-time hire is made, which could take anywhere from 6 months to a year. The available shift length is 12 hours, and rounding is not required. There is APP support at some sites, with NPs and PAs available. The annual volume is 82,500. The facility is a Level 3 trauma center, and only ED Residency-trained and boarded physicians will be consideredno IM or FM doctors with EM experience. Credentialing typically takes 120 days, but it may be sooner, with a projected start date of 7/1/25. The facility is not willing to wait for a doctor to obtain licensing.
