JOB DESCRIPTION

Collaborating with a reputable hospital in upstate New York that has an opening for an Emergency Medicine physician to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Details:

Schedule: 9-10 hour shifts, mix of day, swing, and night shifts
Ongoing, long-term coverage
~100,000 annual volume
Daily Census: ~138
Not a trauma center
APP support available
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified, ABEM
Paid travel & lodging

QUALIFICATIONS

Board Certified/Board Eligible in: Emergency Medicine
Open to Residents and Fellows
​​​Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered physician New York state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as Emergency Room Physician
One year of EMR experience

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
