Emergency Medicine physician needed for a Louisiana ER locums opportunity near New Orleans. This is an open ended need with full time or part time options available. Providers must be willing to cover both days and nights.

Opportunity Details:
Rate: $260/hr
Setting: Hospital based Emergency Department
Location: New Orleans area
Assignment Length: Open ended
Need: 1 full time physician
Schedule Need: 10 to 12 shifts monthly
Minimum Availability: 3 to 5 shifts per block
Shift Times: 7a to 7p, 2p to 12a, and 7p to 7a
Annual Volume: About 28k
Daily Volume: About 79 patients per day
ED Beds: 10
Admission Rate: 8.7 percent
EMS: 11.3 percent
Physician Coverage: 34 hours daily
APP Coverage: 12 hours daily
APP Shift: 9a to 9p
Call: No call
EMR: Epic
Travel and Lodging: Paid
Privileges: 30 to 60 days
Expedited Privileges: Possible with clean file
Onboarding: Orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift
Special Services: Cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonary, urology, gastroenterology, ICU, ortho, psych, radiology, diagnostic imaging, and general surgery
Backup Specialties: On call

Requirements:
Active LA license required
BC or BE in EM, FM, or IM
Residency trained
If not ABEM, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS required
Alternative boards not accepted
Flu and immunization documentation or waiver required
Must be willing to work days and nights
