Shift Details: Various scheduling options available:
Monday-Wednesday: 7a-5p, 10a-8p, 3p-1a, 4p-12a, 8p-7a
Thursday-Sunday: 7a-5p, 10a-9p, 4p-2a, 8p-7a
Minimum Coverage: Must be available for at least 5 shifts/month.
Patient Care Insights:
Patients per Day: 135
Annual Volume: 49,500
Patient Population: All ages
Department Support: Robust backup specialties on-site, scribe coverage for 10 hours/day, with 30% of patients arriving via EMS and a 22% admission rate.
Facility Details:
EMR System: Meditech (transitioning to EPIC in March 2025)
Emergency Department Size: 42 ED beds
Requirements:
Board Certification: ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM (FM trained physicians must show proof of 2 years in an ED).
Active License: Louisiana license required.
DEA Registration: Yes.
Required Certifications: ATLS (for FM trained), ACLS, and PALS (required for both EM and FM).
Minimum Experience: Completion of an EM or FM residency.
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days.
Travel Logistics: Travel expenses will be covered by the client.
