Shift Details:

24-hour shifts
10 shifts per month (Thursdays not required)
Work Details:

Support Staff: Hospitalists during the day, mid-levels 10 AM – 10 PM
Coverage Needed: 10 shifts per month
Patients per Day: Average 30-35
Patient Population: All ages
Department Description: Emergency room in a small critical access hospital; the only hospital in the area
EMR: Meditech
Hospital Bed Size: 25 beds
Skills Required: Supervise 2 mid-levels during shifts and have prescriptive authority
Additional Considerations:
Open to Internal Medicine physicians with Emergency Medicine experience who see all ages
Open to two physicians covering 12-hour shifts (day and night) to cover full 24 hours
Prefer providers not take back-to-back 24-hour shifts for liability reasons; prefer a day off after a 24-hour shift

Board Certification: Family Practice BC required; EM boards not required
State License: Kentucky license required
DEA: Required
Certifications: PALS, ATLS required
Minimum Experience: 1 year
