Indiana Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens Position

Job description

Location: Various Locations
Minimum Shifts Required: 6 shifts per month

Experience Required:

Less than 10 years of experience preferred to expedite the credentialing process

Support Staff:

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
24-hour hospitalist coverage for admissions
24-hour real-time radiology reading of all studies
24-hour in-house X-ray and CT with ultrasound on call at night

Patient Care Details:

Patients per day: 30-50 (depending on location)
Annual Volume: Average of 10,000-23,000 annual patient visits per emergency department
Trauma Level: All locations are Level II
Patient Population/Age: All ages
EMR System: EPIC

Skills Required:

Manage multiple patients with serious and non-serious illnesses and injuries, including heart attacks, strokes, motor vehicle accidents, severe infections, and pneumonia
Perform assessments, diagnostic procedures, and medical treatments as needed to resuscitate or stabilize patients
Refer patients to appropriate medical departments

Practice Setting:

Hospital (credentialed at 5 locations with one credentialing process)
