Job description

Emergency Medicine physicians needed for a Southwest Florida ER locums opportunity. This need includes coverage at a main hospital campus and affiliated freestanding ER sites. Providers must be flexible for days, nights, and weekends.

Opportunity Details:
Rate: $285/hr
Setting: Main hospital ER and affiliated freestanding ERs
Location: Southwest Florida
Need: Equivalent of 2 full time physicians
Annual Volume: About 20k
ED Beds: 18
Daily Volume: About 50 to 70 patients per day depending on season
Shift Times: 7a to 7p and 7p to 7a
Minimum Availability: 6 to 8 shifts per month
Physician Coverage: 24 hours daily
APP Coverage: Peak time coverage
EMR: Meditech P doc and M Modal Dictation
Stroke Designation: Primary Stroke Center
Imaging: MRI, CT, X ray, and ultrasound
Support: Phlebotomy support during surges, difficult sticks, sepsis alerts, and stroke alerts
Facility Notes: Modern renovated ED with expansion completed in 2022
Additional Coverage: Must be willing to work at affiliated freestanding ER sites
Interview: Site directors will phone interview potential locum providers

Requirements:
ABEM or AOBEM
Active FL license preferred
Must be flexible for days, nights, and weekends
Must guarantee 6 to 8 shifts per month
Must be open to main hospital and affiliated freestanding ER coverage
