Facility:
This well-established Northern California hospital is a Level 3 trauma center featuring a 32-bed emergency department with comprehensive 24-hour support services including anesthesia, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, radiology, laboratory, and catheterization lab. The facility also includes an active Labor & Delivery department and offers strong provider support throughout the assignment.

Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine coverage for urgent shifts beginning August 2026
• Shifts available include overnight PM (9p-6a), overnight (11p-8a), and day (6a-2p) schedules
• Average patient volume is approximately 110 patients in a 24-hour period
• Guaranteed hours per shift: 8 hours; overtime applies after 12 hours
• Active California medical license required - CA license only; no IMLC accepted
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
• ABEM or ABOEM certification required; ABIM and ABFM certifications will not be accepted
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Providers must have a clean file with no large malpractice settlements, DUI/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions
• CV, completed application, and 24 months of relevant activity required for credentialing
• 2-3 physician references (name, email, and phone number) required and must be available to respond immediately
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
• Airport parking reimbursed if provider drives themselves to the airport
• Rental car insurance policies must be pre-approved prior to booking to be eligible for reimbursement
• Ride share and taxi reimbursed for travel between destination airport and lodging, and between lodging and hospital
• Mileage and ride share to/from provider's home airport are not reimbursed
