Minimum Shifts Acceptable: 3 consecutive shifts

Are you an Emergency Medicine physician looking for an exciting opportunity in the beautiful town of Petaluma, California? Join our dedicated team where your expertise will make a real difference!

Position Overview: We are seeking physicians to cover a total of 160 hours per month, with a minimum commitment of 3 consecutive shifts to ensure continuity of care. You’ll be part of a facility with an annual volume of approximately 18,000 patients.

Work Details:

Shift Times: Options include 7 AM – 7 PM, 7 PM – 7 AM, 7 AM – 5 PM, 1 PM – 11 PM, and 9 PM – 7 AM
Patients Per Shift: 18-20 patients during a 12-hour shift
Scribe Coverage: None
APP Supervision: Required; on-duty ED physician must co-sign APP charts
ED Capacity: 12-bed ED
Backup Specialties: Surgery, Hospitalists, Orthopedics, limited GI/Urology/ENT
EMR System: EPIC

Requirements:

Board Certification: ABEM, AOBEM (board eligible), ABFM, ABIM (with significant EM experience), or ABPS accepted
Residency Training: Must be trained in the boarded specialty
Certifications Required: ACLS and PALS for all; ATLS required if not ABEM/AOBEM
Active State License: Required before proceeding
Privileging Timeframe: Fairly quick process
Expedited Locum Privileges: To be determined by leadership

Travel Logistics: Paid lodging provided for eligible candidates
