About the facility

- A Joint Commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital (TJC CAH) with 17 beds is seeking an emergency medicine physician for locum tenens coverage. Candidates must be ABEM or ABFM-certified with three years of experience as an ED provider. Physicians must hold current BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (NRP preferred) and provide responsive references for a verbal phone call with the Medical Chief. The facility includes onsite pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology departments with limited 24/7 services. The role requires ED and occasional inpatient cross-coverage when the inpatient department provider is off-site. The EMR system used is TBD. Travel, lodging, and malpractice will be covered.

- The schedule consists of 13-hour shifts, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Physicians typically work five to seven consecutive day or night shifts but may work fewer or more depending on availability. No physician will work more than 16 consecutive hours under any circumstances.
