Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for an immediate full-time opening with our Medical-Surgical / ED Float team at a premier Academic Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. This role delivers essential bedside care across diverse clinical units, ensuring exceptional and consistent care standards.

✔ Work Schedule: Full-time | 6 shifts (12-hour shifts) per two-week pay period | Evening/Night shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities
✔ Deliver hands-on patient care across multiple medical-surgical and emergency units.
✔ Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal hygiene, nutrition, and safe mobility/transfers.
✔ Obtain, monitor, and record accurate vital signs and clinical data in the patient record.
✔ Partner closely with nursing staff to support clinical treatments, procedures, and examinations.
✔ Uphold rigorous infection control protocols and maintain clean, safe patient environments.
✔ Safely transport patients, laboratory specimens, and medical equipment as needed.

Qualifications
✔ Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
✔ Licensure & Certifications:
✔ Active New York State CNA Certification required
✔ Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
✔ Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience; prior Level 1 Trauma Center or Emergency Department experience required.
✔ Technical Skills: Competence in vital sign acquisition, ADL support, patient mobility techniques, and basic clinical documentation.
✔ Soft Skills: High adaptability across diverse fast-paced units, strong teamwork ethic, compassionate bedside manner, and clear communication skills.
