Position Overview:
As an EM Nurse Practitioner in this role, you’ll be responsible for treating a variety of conditions with a higher acuity than urgent care but without the intensity of a traditional ER. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with conditions like abdominal pain, chest pain, concussions, fractures, asthma exacerbations, dehydration, and more. Key Responsibilities:
-Provide urgent care services for a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to abdominal pain, asthma exacerbations, broken bones, eye injuries, kidney stones, and pediatric emergencies.
-Collaborate with Emergency Health Physicians and other healthcare professionals in a team-based approach to patient care.
-Manage patient care from assessment to treatment, providing patients with comprehensive, compassionate care.
-Perform procedures like abscess drainage, fracture reduction, and laceration repair.
-Ensure all required documentation and patient records are accurate and up-to-date.
Position Details:
-Start Date: ASAP
-Contract Length: 6 months for straight locums, with the option to consider 3-month contracts for those interested in locum-to-perm opportunities.
-Shifts: 12-hour shifts, either 8am - 8pm or 10am - 10pm.
-Schedule: Rotating schedule (4/12s one week, 2/12s the next), with some weekends off. Example: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday one week, then Wednesday and Thursday the next.
-No On-Call or Overnight Shifts - Enjoy a better work-life balance.
Requirements:
-Board Certification: Family Nurse Practitioner
-Licensure: Active WA State license (or in-process—please inquire if applicable).
-Certifications: BLS, ACLS (required prior to start).
-Minimum of 2 years working as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner in an emergency department or urgent care setting within the last 5 years.
-Vaccinations: COVID-19, Hepatitis B, MMR, PPD, Varicella, and TD/TDAP.
-Medicare: Eligible to be a provider for Medicare or able to meet credentialing requirements.
-Work Hours: Must have at least 2000 hours of relevant work experience
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days from offer to start date, with license in hand.
