Emergency Medicine APP Needed in OR

Job description

Location: Portland and Lake Oswego

Start: May

26-week assignment with option to extend

Specialty: EM NP (This is a super clinic so higher accuity than a regular urgent care, but not quite as high as a true ER)
· Ideal candidates: High energy, team players who are burnt out of working in the ED and looking to join an awesome team where you will have time to really sit with each patient to provide excellent patient care.

Shift Details: 12 hour shifts , 8am - 8pm or 10am - 10pm.
Schedule: Most schedules are a rotating schedule where they are working 4/12s one week and 2/12s the next week. Rotating schedule where you will get some weekends off.

· Example schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday one week then Wednesday and Thursday the following
· No admin days and no on call time.
· No overnight shifts

Work Details:
· Emergency Health Physician, other healthcare professionals
· Amount of coverage needed per month: Fulltime
· Department description: This is not a hospital ER and patients - Patients should go to the ER or call 911 for life-threatening emergencies. What they treat at the Super Clinics - Abdominal pain, Abscess drainage, Accidental poisonings, Asthma exacerbations, Broken bones, Chest pain, Concussions, Dehydration, Dislocations, Eye injuries, First trimester complications, Fractures, Head injuries, Kidney stones, Large lacerations, Pediatric emergency services, Rib injuries, Serious infections, Severe headache, Shortness of breath

Practice Setting:
· Super Clinic

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Yes - Family Nurse Practitioner
· License required: OR License in hand (if provider has one actively in process call AM to discuss)
· Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (Prior to start)
· Minimum experience required: Emergency Nurse Practitioners who have worked in the emergency department for at least two years with recent experience from within the past 5 years.
· Clinic Required Vaccinations: Vaccinated against COVID-19, Hepatitis B., MMR, PPD, Varicella (Chickenpox), and TD/TDAP.
· Medical providers must be eligible as a provider for Medicare or complete Medicare credentialing requirements prior to hire.
· Must be able to demonstrate 2000 hours of work experience at the time of job offer.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days from offer to start date with license in hand
