Diagnostic Radiologist Position in Mobile, AL.

Job description

Specialty: Diagnostic Radiology
Start Date: June 1, 2024, or sooner with emergency privileges
Contract Length: 3 to 6 months with option to extend

Shift Details: Monday - Friday with a 30-minute to an hour lunch break

Three Shift Options:

7:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Inpatient CE, GI, BE, ER
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM: Inpatient X-rays, Ultrasounds, Special Procedures (thoracentesis, paracentesis, biopsy, mammograms)
11:00 AM - 8:00 PM: Inpatient CT, X-ray, ER
Weekend Coverage: 1:4 call. No more frequent than every 3rd weekend. Candidates who cannot work weekends will be considered, prioritizing full-coverage availability.

Location: Onsite at the hospital
Average Daily Volume:
CT: Average 86 scans/day
X-rays: Average 146/day
Ultrasounds: 24 patients/day
MRIs: Approximately 20/day
Weekend RVUs:
CT: Approximately 51 scans per weekend
X-rays: Approximately 88 per weekend
Ultrasounds: Approximately 6 per weekend
MRIs: Approximately 6 per weekend
Modalities: No interventional radiology or intravascular procedures
PACS System: Currently using Merge, transitioning to Phillips in October
Requirements:

Board Certification: Board certified preferred
State License Required: Open to licensing
Certifications Required: Already on a RAM license, preferably in Alabama
Minimum Experience: Hospital experience required, MD or DO
