The COVID-19 outbreak is affecting healthcare facilities and clinicians nationwide, and our gratitude for your commitment to patient care is stronger than ever, as is our steadfast support. I’ve traveled internationally in the past 30 days.
Healthcare facilities require travel screening for clinicians prior to the start of assignments. LocumTenens.com will facilitate this process following healthcare facility protocols. If you visited one of these high-risk locations, you will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days. In this instance, we will discuss rescheduling your assignment. The CDC's recommendations regarding the screening of clinicians by healthcare organizations continues to evolve. For up-to-date recommendations, please visit their website.
I’m not sure if I need to get tested.
Clinicians do not need to be tested for COVID-19 unless you are showing symptoms or the healthcare facility requires testing.
I’m worried about flying to assignments.
If you are concerned with flying to your upcoming assignment, we understand and will not require that you fly. However, airlines are taking precautions to make flying as safe as possible, and we know that you are well-versed in disease prevention. If you prefer, we can secure a rental car reservation to get you to your upcoming assignment.
Staying healthy while on assignment.
Now more than ever, healthcare facilities will have stringent safety and disease-prevention protocols in place. We have encouraged the facilities that we work with to share these with you at the start of your assignment as part of the onboarding process. The CDC has issued information for healthcare professionals should you want additional resources.
Quarantined while on assignment.
If a LocumTenens.com clinician is asked to be quarantined or becomes infected while on assignment, we are prepared to cover quarantine-related expenses for housing and incidentals during that time. We will evaluate the risk of this occurring before you leave on assignment, as we know being quarantined at home is preferred. We will ensure you receive appropriate medical care if necessary.
