Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Job Location: Republic, WA

Job Description:
• Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids under the guidance of medical technologists or laboratory managers.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure accurate labeling and documentation.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, and analyzers.
• Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Analyze test results and report findings to healthcare providers in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and continuity of services.
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on the latest developments in laboratory technology and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to laboratory assistants and other staff members as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of job performance.

Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT) preferred.
• Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computerized information systems.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of job performance.
