Locum Cardiac Surgery Physician Opportunity – Lebanon, PA (Weekends only)

Assignment Details

- Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
- Specialty: Cardiac Surgery
- Start Date: January 15, 2027
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Coverage Needed: Approximately 3 weekends per month
- Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, Friday at 12:00 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM
- Average Callback Time: 2–4 hours per day, including rounding
- Patient Population: Adults, ages 18+
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital Size: 163 beds
- Support Staff: APPs
- Credentialing: Approximately 60 days; temporary privileges may be available for providers with a clean file

**Scheduled Coverage Dates**

- January 15 at 12:00 PM – January 18 at 7:00 AM
- January 22 at 12:00 PM – January 25 at 7:00 AM
- February 12 at 12:00 PM – February 15 at 7:00 AM
- February 19 at 12:00 PM – February 22 at 7:00 AM
- March 26 at 12:00 PM – March 29 at 7:00 AM

**Clinical Responsibilities**

- Provide cardiac surgery coverage for urgent cases, including patients transitioning from the catheterization lab to surgery.
- Evaluate patients and determine the appropriate timing for surgical intervention.
- Manage patients requiring care from the ICU through discharge home.
- Provide consultations, with the surgeon available for backup support.

**Procedures**

- Urgent cardiac surgery
- TAVR procedures are not required and are not performed under this assignment.

**Requirements**

- Board certified or board eligible in Cardiac Surgery
- Active Pennsylvania medical license required
- DEA registration required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
