General Cardiologist – Full-Time Inpatient & Outpatient Coverage | Minnesota Locums

Schedule

Full-time locum tenens coverage
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Weeknight call: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM
Weekend call: Friday 5:00 PM–Monday 8:00 AM
Call rotation approximately 1:6
Approximately 2–3 calls per night with minimal overnight patient encounters
Initial 3-month assignment with opportunity to extend

Assignment Details

Combination of inpatient and outpatient General Cardiology
Inpatient service rounding and consultations
Approximately 12–16 inpatient consults per day
Approximately 12–14 outpatient patients per day
Echo interpretation assignments averaging 24–30 reads per day
Adult and geriatric patient population
Robust Cardiology team including General Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiology physicians, and multiple Cardiology APPs
EMR: Epic

Procedures & Skills

TEE
Cardioversion
Adult transthoracic echocardiography (TTE)
Stress echocardiography
Echo interpretation

Requirements

Board Certification required
Cardiovascular Disease fellowship required
Active Minnesota medical license required
DEA required
BLS and ACLS required
1–3+ years of Cardiology experience preferred
Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
