Cardiologist needed in northwestern Maryland

Job description

• Length of contract: ongoing
• Start date: 1/6/2025
• Support staff: this provider will see New patient consults and will be assisted by an APP. Census: This is dependent on the hospital census for cardiac services. The physician will be assigned to work with an APP (either an NP or PA). The APP assists with helping see appropriate follow up patients.
• Coverage Type: For now, we will only have hospital coverage weeks, no clinic.
• Schedule Details: Hospital: 7a-3p; Call: 3:30p-8p. 30 min response
• Coverage Dates both Hospital and Night call. Please make sure you are putting in the dates that your candidate can work in the presentation so it does not cause a delay. These are the only known dates at this time.

Work Details:
• Facility Type: Hospital
• EMR/Charting Software: epic
• Procedures: *TEEs and cardioversions. When the providers cover hospital, they provide TEEs and cardioversions to the inpatients. We typically do not have enough volume to proctor someone for TEEs quickly and would need to block one of our own physicians schedules to have this occur. TEE coverage, as well as occasionally reading EKGs or TTE studies.
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days
