❤️ Locums Non-Invasive Cardiology Opportunity – California

Job description

Specialty: Cardiology (Non-Invasive)
Start Date: ASAP (emergency privileges may be available, ~30 days if no malpractice)
Contract Length: 6 months with option to extend
Schedule: 5x8 M–F | 2 weeks/month coverage | Echo-only services with optional inpatient rounding for candidates with academic medical center background
Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient | Hospital | Level 1 Trauma Center
EMR: Epic

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join a teaching hospital in California for a locums assignment. This role is focused on high-volume echo services with the option for inpatient rounding in an academic environment.

🌟 Position Highlights

Echo-Only Focus: 25–30 echos/day, including TTE/TEE, emergent and high-acuity cases.

Academic Environment: Teaching hospital setting with strong preference for teaching experience; opportunity for research and academic collaboration.

Comprehensive Support: Dedicated echo tech team, inpatient attending always available by phone, and interventional cardiologist on call.

📌 Requirements

BC/BE in Cardiovascular Disease

Active CA medical license + CA DEA (Schedule II)

BLS required | Advanced Echocardiography Level III certification preferred

Experience with diverse populations; teaching experience strongly preferred
