24-Hour Call Cardiothoracic NP Needed in North Carolina | Primarily Weekend Coverage

Specialty: Cardiothoracic NP

Contract Length: 3 months with the option to extend

Schedule Details: minimum 2 weekends per month Friday 5pm-Monday 8am.

Option for additional 12-hour shifts during the week

Coverage Type: Inpatient and OR

Support staff: 5 MDs, 3 APPs

EMR: EPIC

Cases/Procedures: Managing inpatient and OR. Primary need is weekend coverage. About 6 hours spent to round on cardiac post op patients (remove chest tubes and pacing wires), cardiac and thoracic pre and post op care, discharge patients, patient education, prepare patients for surgery (place orders, patient education), attend to new consults, ED consults, answer patient calls, and instill medications into chest tubes.

State License Required: North Carolina - Willing to License with Compact License

Minimum Experience: 3 years experience in Cardiac and Thoracic surgery

Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
