JOB DESCRIPTION

A hospital in southeastern Virginia has an opportunity for a Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist their team.

About the Opportunity:

Flexible Schedule: 8-10 hour shifts, 5-7 days per week
First assist and weekend call required
Annual Volume: 2,300 cases
Cases: CABG, valves, heart transplants, aortic dissections, lungs, MCS, TAVR
Must be proficient in EVH (Maquet or Terumo)
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

Current DEA registration
Master's or Doctoral degree Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Virginia
Board certification
Minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiac surgery
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Be highly collaborative, and enjoy leading care teams with a patient-centric orientation
Confident in his/her ability to deliver high quality primary care, which includes being available to patients and addressing their medical and social needs
