Schedule

Combination of clinic and call coverage
Interventional Cardiology call with some General Cardiology call coverage
Weekday and 24-hour weekend call coverage
Interventional callbacks may average approximately 4–6 hours, depending on patient needs

Assignment Details

Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient Cardiology coverage
Approximately 12–15 clinic patients per day
Approximately 5–10 inpatient rounding/consult patients per day
Mix of Interventional and General Cardiology responsibilities
EMR: Epic

Procedures & Skills

Diagnostic cardiac catheterization
Angioplasty
Stent placement
Stress echocardiography
Nuclear stress testing
Echocardiogram interpretation
Holter and event monitor interpretation
TEE
Cardioversion

Practice Setting

Outpatient clinic
Inpatient hospital coverage

Requirements

Iowa medical license required; licensing candidates considered
IMLC candidates accepted
Strong Interventional Cardiology procedural experience
Ability to provide General Cardiology call coverage as needed
Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
