Electrophysiology Locum Opportunity – Arizona

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Electrophysiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Arizona starting April 21st. This is an ongoing need with a mix of Cath Lab and clinic responsibilities.

Assignment Details
Start Date: April 21, 2025

Contract Length: Ongoing

Shift Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Cath Lab)

Every Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – In-Office Clinic

2nd Friday of each month: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Telemedicine Clinic

4th Friday of each month: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – In-Office Clinic (First patient at 9:00 AM)

June 9–13

August 25–29

September 22–26

September 29–October 3

October 13–17

October 20–24

November 17–21

November 24–26, 28

December 15–19

Clinical Details
Setting: Hospital-based Cath Lab + Clinic

Hospital Bed Size: 268

Clinic Volume: ~20–22 adult patients/day

Cath Lab: 3–4 hospital consults/day and 4–6 EP cases/day, depending on case length

Procedures Required: Electrophysiology with a focus on heart rhythm disturbances and ablations

Required Case Volume: Must show 100 EP cases in the last 2 years (with emphasis on ablations)

EMR: Cerner

Requirements
Board Certification: BC/BE in Cardiac Electrophysiology

State License: Arizona license required (willing to license)

DEA: Must have AZ DEA

Certifications: ACLS required; CSR not required

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience

Credentialing Timeframe
Approximate Timeframe: 30 days
