Anesthesiologist needed in Fredericksburg, VA

Anesthesiologist – Virginia
Start: Upon Credentialing
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 50 hours per week (weekend availability a plus)
Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days

Practice Model:
• Medical Direction model (1:3 MD to CRNA ratio)
• CRNAs practice under Anesthesiologists
• MDs must be willing to perform solo cases if requested
• CRNAs limited to spinals and epidurals only (no regional blocks)
• MDs should be comfortable performing regional blocks (supraclavicular, popliteal, etc.)

Case Mix Includes:
• Open hearts
• Organ harvest (no transplants)
• OB
• Healthy pediatrics
• Ortho
• Thoracic
• Endoscopy
• Trauma cases

Practice Settings (credentialed for all three sites):

• Level II Trauma Hospital – 16 ORs, 2 OBs, 8 Endo, Cath Holding, IR, ED
– 24-hour staffing with 12-hour night/weekend call blocks
– Dedicated cardiac and in-house coverage

• Ambulatory Surgery Center – M-F only, no weekends
– 6 ORs
– Healthy peds, dental, ENT, ortho, bread-and-butter cases
– MDs must perform blocks at this site

• Community Hospital (8 miles away)
– 6 ORs, 1 OB, 1 Endo
– Heavy OB volume
– Critical cases transferred to main trauma hospital

EMR: Epic
