Job description

Position Overview:

Practice Model: Medical direction (1 Anesthesiologist to 3 CRNAs). CRNAs always work under physician supervision.

Scope of Practice:

CRNAs: Limited regional authority (spinals and epidurals only).

Anesthesiologists: Should be able to perform regional blocks (supraclavicular, popliteal, etc.)—preferred but not mandatory.

Must be willing to perform solo cases as needed (non-negotiable).

Schedule: Full-time, approximately 50 hours per week (M–F). Weekend availability preferred.

Coverage Sites: Mix of hospital ORs, OB, endoscopy, cath lab, IR, and outpatient surgery center.

Case Types: Cardiac, organ harvest (no transplant), healthy peds, ortho, thoracic, OB, endoscopy, and trauma.

Environment: Combination of high-acuity and fast-turnover settings requiring adaptability and efficiency.

EMR: Epic

Requirements:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

Active Virginia license or IMLC eligibility

Willingness to float between multiple local sites

Comfortable with both medically directed and solo case models
