Anesthesiologist Locum Coverage Need in VA

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: end date 13 weeks

Shift Details: 8 and 10 hour shifts Mon-Fri. Occasional OT. Weekend 12 hour shifts optional

Call is optional (beeper call 7pm-7am with 30 minute call-back radius)

Schedule: 8 and 10 hour shifts Mon-Fri.

Work Details:

· Support staff: 15 OR’s, 1 OB, and 5 NORA (GI, EP, Cath, MRI, CT, IR) sites daily

· EMR: ICare/EPIC EMR (onsite EMR training)

· Responsibilities: Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department | Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious ad/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures | Pre-anesthesia assessment | Obtains and/or verifies patient consent | Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient | Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia | Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition | Performance of clinical intervention as needed

• Hospital

Requirements:

· Board Certification: YES

· License required: Yes. Currently licensed as a Physician

· Certifications required: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX | Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia | Currently licensed as a Physician

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 - 90 day credentialing
