Anesthesiologist Opportunity – El Paso, TX
Schedule: 5x10s, Monday–Friday
Commitment: Minimum 3 weeks per month
Start: ASAP
End: 12/31/2026
Coverage: Scheduled clinical hours + optional home call

Position Overview
A facility in El Paso, TX is seeking a General Anesthesiologist to join their team for long‑term coverage. This role is primarily MD supervision of CRNAs with occasional solo cases. Call is optional, negotiable, and taken from home.

Local candidates will not be considered.

Practice Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10‑hour shifts

Minimum: 3 weeks per month

Call: Optional, from home

Support Staff: CRNAs

EMR: Cerner

Case Mix: Broad variety; no cardiac cases required

Peds: Not required (experience is a plus but not mandatory)

Skills Required:

Comfortable with regional anesthesia

General anesthesia (adult)

CRNA supervision

Occasional solo cases

No neonatal or premie requirements

Surgical Case Types
Providers should be comfortable managing or supervising anesthesia for a wide range of cases, including:

General anesthesia (adult; pediatric optional)

Regional anesthesia

OB

Neuro

Trauma

Complex ortho

Complex vascular (excluding open heart)

Thoracic (excluding open heart)

Spinal & epidural anesthesia

Post‑op epidurals & extremity blocks

Pain management techniques

Epidural steroid injections (lumbar & cervical)

Transforaminal injections (lumbar & cervical)

Use of X‑ray guidance for blocks

Ventilation management

Acute volume/BP management

Central line placement

Arterial line placement

PA catheter placement

CRNA supervision

Ideal Candidate
Board‑certified/eligible General Anesthesiologist

Skilled in regional anesthesia

Comfortable supervising CRNAs

Able to manage a diverse surgical caseload

Not a local resident (non‑local candidates only)
