This role is with a freestanding ambulatory surgery center in Syosset, NY, part of a larger multi-site network tied into a major New York health system. The center is a modern, multi-specialty ASC with a strong focus on orthopedics, sports medicine, pain, ophthalmology, plastics, and ENT. It is AAAHC-accredited and designed around efficient, patient-centered outpatient care with a tightly knit team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff.

This role is perfect for anesthesiologists who enjoy regional anesthesia, value predictable daytime hours, and want the flexibility of a locums schedule without call, nights, or weekends.

Position Highlights
• Setting: Freestanding ambulatory surgery center with 3 ORs
• Location: Syosset area, Long Island, NY (easy access to NYC and surrounding suburbs)
• Schedule:
o Day shifts, 7:00a–3:00p
o Monday–Friday coverage
o No call, no nights, no weekends
• Dates: Initial block of December coverage (Dec 2, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12) with potential for additional ongoing dates
• Case Mix:
o Heavy orthopedics, spine, and pain management
o Outpatient, elective-focused environment
• Volume: ~11 cases/day
• Staffing Model:
o MD solo or supervising CRNAs when multiple rooms are running
o Collaborative, experienced OR and nursing team

Clinical Requirements
• Board-certified in Anesthesiology (Pain Medicine board certification a plus)
• Strong proficiency in upper and lower extremity regional blocks
• Active New York medical license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, DEA
• Comfortable with an efficient, protocol-driven ASC workflow and managing a steady outpatient caseload
