Job description

Position Details:

Specialty: Physician - Anesthesiologist
Contract Length: 6 months with a 30-day notice
Shift Details: 12 hours a day with backup call available
Schedule: Monday through Friday, including weekends and call
Work Details:

Support Staff: Join a well-supported team of 25 MDs and 50 CRNAs
Coverage Needed: 5 days a week with weekend and call rotations
Patient Ratio: Stable patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
Patient Population: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric
Department: Anesthesiology
EMR Systems: Currently using Cerner, migrating to Epic in the Spring
Hospital Bed Size: 100 beds
Accepted Specialties: Transplant Anesthesia, Neuroanesthesia, Cardiac Anesthesia, Trauma Anesthesia
Skills Required: Proficient in epidurals, spinals, and regional anesthesia (e.g., brachial plexus, fem-sciatic, ankle, wrist) with ultrasound guidance
Practice Setting:

Location: Hospital
Requirements:

Board Certification: Required (Board Eligible candidates will be considered)
Licensure: Must be licensed in Tennessee and/or Mississippi (ideally both)
DEA: Required
CSR: Required
Certifications Preferred: TEE Certification (for cardiac anesthesia)
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
Credentialing Timeframe: 48 hours
