Anesthesiologist Needed in Macon, GA

Job description

Position Details

• Location: Macon, GA
• Start Date: January 2027
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Full-time coverage needed
• 40-hour work weeks with call
• Call: One weeknight during the week the locum is working
• Minimum commitment: 1 week per month

Clinical Details

• Facility Type: Hospital
• Patient Population: Adults
• Two hospitals: approximately 300 beds and 100 beds
• Average daily census varies based on case volume
• EMR: Epic
• Solo cases required

Procedures/Case Mix

Experience with the following is required:

• Cardiovascular (CV) anesthesia
• Obstetric (OB) anesthesia
• General anesthesia

The provider must be comfortable working solo cases.

Support Staff

• 2 full-time MDs
• AA support
• CRNA support

Requirements

• Board Certification required
• Active Georgia medical license required
• BLS certification required
• DEA required
• 2 years of experience preferred; 1 year may be considered for candidates with strong relevant experience
• Willing to license only for candidates who qualify for the IMLC

Credentialing

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days
