Job description
CRNA – Locum Tenens (Level I Trauma)
Start Date: ASAP (January 5th preferred; flexible for later starts)
Contract Length: 1 year (through end of 2026)
Schedule: 8s, 10s, or 12s
Location: Float between 3 hospital sites (1 Level I Trauma Center + 2 Community Hospitals)
Status: Open to local candidates
Call: Must be open to call (max 1–2 shifts/month; typically minimal call; beeper call)
Trauma Experience: Level I Trauma experience required
Care Team Model: 100% supervised (1:4 ratio)
Staffing: 30+ Anesthesiologists | 70+ Full-time CRNAs
Bed Size: 700-bed system
Case Mix: Large Vascular, Neuro, High-risk OB/GYN, Ortho, General Surgery, Thoracic
Some Peds exposure in the system, but locums do not need to cover Peds or Hearts
CRNAs administer their own drugs
Epidurals, spinals, arterial lines
Some OB and trauma (mostly outpatient)
No brachial plexus or other regional blocks
License: VA or compact preferred; open to licensing
Experience: Must have Level I Trauma experience
Credentialing:
Standard: 90–120 days
Emergency: 30–45 days
DEA: Not required
EMR: Cerner
