Locum Tenens CRNA – Anesthesia

Position Details:

Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients (90% of cases are age 12+)

Setting: Hospital-based anesthesia practice

Practice Type: Independent CRNA practice in a high-volume tertiary care center

Geographic Setting: Boise – A vibrant mid-sized city known for its excellent quality of life, outdoor recreation, and family-friendly environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations
Administer anesthesia for a broad range of surgical procedures
Perform spinal blocks
Provide post-anesthesia care
Participate in pager and weekend call coverage

Required Procedures:

General anesthesia
Spinal blocks
OB anesthesia
Trauma anesthesia

EMR System: Epic

Support Staff: Collaborative anesthesia team across 17 main ORs, 7 surgery center ORs, cath labs, endoscopy, and radiology

Days Per Month: Full-time coverage required (40 hours guaranteed per week)

On-Call/Weekends: Yes – call coverage is required; weekend pager call preferred

Requirements:
NBCRNA Certification
Active Idaho license (highly preferred)
Idaho DEA and CSR
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Must be available full-time
