Fayetteville, Arkansas VAMC needing Pathology coverage (Anatomic and Clinical)
- ASAP – December 31, 2020
o Credentialing timeframe is roughly 30-45 days
- Work schedule: Monday – Friday (8a – 4:30) along with shared call coverage (shared among 3 physicians)
- Roughly 30 cases per day
- Duties: frozen sections, read surgical and cytopathology slides and bone marrow cases, case discussions with medical/surgical staff, some peer review, gross-in surgical specimens, autopsies, approval/denial of various send-out tests, consultation and oversight of blood bank
o Most common cases: prostates, simple GI and simple skin
- Working with full medical staff (two additional permanently staffed Pathologists)
- Physician requirements:
o Board Certified / Board Eligible in Clinical and Anatomical Pathology
o 3 references (peer references within the last 12 months)
