Our growing mental health practice is seeking an experienced, compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative team. We provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations throughout the Hampton Roads area, with a focus on whole-person care and evidence-based treatment.

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated Clinical Director (PRN) with PMHNP credentials to lead our mental health team. This leadership role combines clinical excellence with administrative oversight on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both medication management and psychotherapy, with the ability to work autonomously while providing direction and mentorship to our multidisciplinary team. This position offers full prescriptive authority and the opportunity to both provide direct patient care and shape the strategic direction of our clinical services.

Required Qualifications
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMHNP specialization
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Virginia
• PMHNP-BC certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP
• Autonomous practice designation on Virginia license
• Active DEA registration with full prescriptive authority
• Experience treating diverse age groups: children, adolescents, and adults
• Demonstrated proficiency in both medication management and psychotherapy
• Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
• Ability to work on a PRN (as-needed) basis with flexible availability


Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the mental health team on an as-needed basis
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical protocols and procedures
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with regulatory standards
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for patients of all ages
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
• Exercise full prescriptive authority to manage psychotropic medications
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources
• Lead quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in strategic planning for practice growth
• Mentor and provide clinical guidance to other providers
